The program acknowledges and accepts industry certifications that have already been achieved which shortens the time for the candidate to get certified while still ensuring the candidates' level of expertise.

Initial Requirements:
You must first provide proof that you hold a vendor-neutral third party security certification from the following list: CISSP, GIAC Firewall Analyst, GIAC Incident Handler, GIAC Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Windows Security Manager. You must also pass two Symantec exams from the following choices: firewall & integrated security appliances, security management, intrusion protection, and virus protection and integrated client security.
