CompTIA Cloud+ is one of the certificates from the Infrastructure track of the CompTIA certification program. It proves that a certified specialist knows how to deploy and automate those secure Cloud environments, which support high availability of business systems and data. To be eligible for the qualification exam, it is recommended that you hold CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Server+. Exam Details

There is only one exam that you need to pass to get certified and it is known as CompTIA CV0-003. The test contains 90 questions that are presented in the multiple-choice and performance-based formats. The students are given 90 minutes to deal with all the items and score 750 points. This certification exam includes the following sections:

• Cloud Design & Architecture – This topic is all about the importance of scaling and high availability in the Cloud environments, capacity planning, and different types of Cloud models. It is also important to have the skills in analyzing the solution design in support of business requirements and know about various testing techniques;
• Operations & Support – To deal with the questions from this subject area, you are required to know about various processes, including the optimization of the Cloud environments, performance of the needed disaster recovery tasks, and application of proper automation and orchestration techniques. Knowing how to maintain efficient operation of a Cloud environment as well as perform the appropriate backup & restore operations is also important;
• Deployment – If talking about this part, it evaluates your skills in performing Cloud migrations, deploying Cloud networking solutions, and integrating the components into Cloud solutions. The potential candidates should also know about the configuration of proper compute sizing and provisioning of storage;
• Security – The next domain covers the details of the application of the appropriate OS and app security controls, implementation of measures to meet security requirements, as well as the importance of incident response procedures. Besides that, you should have the ability to configure the identity and access management and secure a network in a Cloud environment. Having knowledge of the application of data security and compliance controls is also vital;
• Troubleshooting – The last objective proves that you have the skills in troubleshooting the automation or orchestration issues, common performance problems, security or deployment issues, and connectivity issues. Moreover, you need to know about the troubleshooting methodology and the ways to resolve the Cloud-related issues.
