Exam 050-632: Networking Technologies

Note:  If you already have your Network+ or MCSE certification, you are not required by Novell to take this exam.

Novell’s 050-632 exam happens to be one of the core requirements for the Certified Novel Engineer (CNE) 5 certification. This exam basically covers all the basic computer networking technology including terms and concepts. If a technician or entry-level network administrator is able to take the 050-632 exam, and pass it, this proves he has enough knowledge and skill set to work on a network, at least the basic parts of it. In order to earn your Networking Technologies certification, you must pass the exam with at least a score of 504. There exam consists of about 25 questions on each part of the network. This network technology deals with the operating system, network applications, protocols, and wiring.     

If you are a technician working on networks for the first time, or even if you do have some background, you must show your expertise and skill level by taking and passing the 050-663 exam. This way you show your employer or any potential employer that you can work on networks, at least as a beginner, and that you have the foundation to build on your network knowledge and training. Think of it as a stepping stone to actual intensive network operations.
