
Exam NR0-015: Teradata Design
Many companies use databases to store data and to be able to retrieve what data they need at any given time. These companies use various types of databases. One type of database that such companies use is Teradata. Teradata is a powerful relational database system. If you are one company that hasn’t yet installed a database on your network, but you are planning one, and you have a technician who has experience in designing the overall architecture for a Teradata database, it would be good for that technician to become certified as a Teradata Design specialist. To do this he needs to pass the NR0-015: Teradata Design exam.
If you take the NR0-015 exam, it will count toward your becoming a Teradata Certified Design Architect. To pass the test you will have to show an understanding of how to design the architecture of the Teradata database and also be able to optimize applications and use data protection strategies. There are 5 sections to the exam. These sections include:
• Physical Design Considerations and Optimization
• System Architecture
• System Planning and Space Management
• Disaster Recovery Planning and Strategies
• Workload Management
The NR0-015 exam consists of 60 questions and takes about 75 minutes to complete. You need a score of 620 out of 800 to pass. Plus, you need to have worked with Teradata V2R5 technology for at least a year, and also have up to three years experience with Teradata databases and applications.
