Exam NR0-011: Teradata Basics V2R5

Many companies use databases to store data and to be able to retrieve what data they need at any given time. These companies use various types of databases. One database that is used most extensively is Teradata. Teradata is a powerful relational database system. In order to use it a technician would have to know the basics of Teradata and pass the NR0-011: Teradata Basics V2R5 exam. When this exam is passed, the technician then qualifies to enter the Teradata V2R5 certification track and can be considered a Teradata Certified Professional V2R5.

If you take the NR0-011 exam, you will need to understand what relational databases are, along with major architectural features of the Teradata Database. You will also have to know Teradata’s unique data distribution and access mechanics, plus, tactical and strategic decision support processing. There are 9 sections to the exam. These sections include:

• OLTP vs DSS
• Data Warehouse Architectures
• Relational Database Concepts
• Teradata RDBMS Components and Architecture
• Database Managed Storage
• Data Access Mechanics
• Data Availability Features
• Teradata Tools and Utilities

The NR0-011 exam consists of 45 questions and takes about 60 minutes to complete. You need a score of 600-800 to pass.
