Product Questions

Which different Test King products are available?
There are four different Testking products available for your certification and exam training:

• Questions and Answers (Q&A)
  This product should be used as preparation before the exam and comes with a pass guaranteed. It includes questions and correct answers with explanations which cover exactly the same topics as real exam questions. Some Q&A's still lack explanations at the moment. Our goal is to add explanations to all our Q&A products.
• Study Guides (Concepts and Labs)
  Gives you the theoretical background and the practical know-how. You download the Study Guide document (.pdf file) and use it on your local PC.
• Preparation Labs
  Preparation Labs are available online for many of our Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft and VMware exams. These are lab scenarios on how to solve the problems as well as detailed tutorial and lab solutions so that people can practice on their own equipment. They give overview of real hardware/software configurations so that you become familiar with the testing environment.
• Audio Exams
  Easy to download and take with you MP3 files. Study Guides for the person on the go - these allow you to make any time, productive time.

What document format are used for Q&A and Study Guides products?
Q&A's documents are provided in the Testking iPad (New Format, read using built-in Q&A viewer) or PDF format (old format, just a dozen of products are using it). PDF format is phased out and being replaced by iPad. Study Guides are provided in PDF format.

What type of Testing Engines are used by TestKing?
TestKing Q&A products use Interactive Testing Engine. This is a Testing Engine that is downloaded, installed, and used on your local PC. It simulates the real exam environment and enables you to take a Virtual Exam (test yourself with exam questions with a time limit), Practice exam (review exam questions one by one, see correct answers and explanations), view your exam history, change order of questions and answers, search for questions and answers, add notes.

Can I try the Online Testing Engine for free?
Yes, we have several Testing Engines, as well as Study Guides available in our Samples page.

What does your Q&A with explanations entail?
Our Q&A with explanations contain simulated exam questions with the most accurate answers. Each answer is thoroughly explained, including the incorrect answers. With our Q&A you should be able to pass the certification exam at your first attempt. More information about available Q&A can be found on our products page.

Do all your Q&A include explanations?
No. Our goal is to provide explanations to all our Q&A. There are still some Q&A without explanations. Our primary focus at this time is to provide explanations to the most popular exams and certifications first.

How can I detect if a product has explanations or not before I make the purchase?
The products page for each exam or certification will specifically say if the product is Questions and Answers, or Questions and Answers with Explanations.

Can I pass an exam with TestKing Q&A only?
Yes, it is possible. However, we recommend that you use one extra source, such as the TestKing Study Guide, to provide the theoretical background and the practical hands-on experience.

What exactly is in your Study Guides?
All of our Study Guides are designed to ensure that you have the required knowledge to pass the exams on the first attempt. They consist of detailed explanations of the concepts that are tested in the exam as well as a labs section where you can learn the practical implementation of concepts. What are the system requirements to use the TestKing products?
At the moment there are four requirements:

• You need a Windows operating system
• You need have the permissions to install a program in Windows
• Your computer must be able to access the Internet
• You need to install the Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

We are planning to provide our products for Mac and Linux operating systems in the future, but at the moment Windows is a requirement.

Updates

Are your updates free?
Updates are available for 90 days after the original purchase of your products. Once the product has expired (90 days have passed, without renewing) the product(s) will be removed from the Member's Area. Study Guides can be printed before they expire, and the MP3 Audio Exams will continue to function, however they will not automatically update.

Are there products that have more than 90 days of free updates?
There are 6-months and 1-year bundles available upon special request - as well we have launched a new licensing program for long-term or high volume users. Please contact manager@testking.com for more information.

Is it possible to extend the update period of an expired product?
Expired products can be repurchased at 50% discount from within your Members' Area.

How often are your products updated?
Our products are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis. The certification vendors often change the skills being tested in the exams, so we frequently change our study guides to accurately reflect the current exams.

How do I know that there has been an update?
There are several ways to tell if there has been an update:

• For iPAD and Testing Engine products just start use the product. Updates will be downloaded automatically.
• The New Releases section on www.testking.com. You will notice the rapid updates here. TestKing makes several updates every day.
• Status on an a purchased product can be found on the download page in the member zone.
• Date of latest release/update can also be found on the products page.
• TestKing also sends out information on updates on a regular basis in TestKing newsletter, usually once every two weeks. Registered TestKing members receive the Newsletter.
• In general, you should always check for a new update 3-4 days before you plan to take the exam.

How do I receive my updates?
For iPAD and Testing Engine products just start use the product. Updates will be downloaded automatically.

For Study Guide (PDF) products:

• Go to www.testking.com
• Click on Members' Area (left side menu)
• Enter e-mail and password
• You see a list of purchased products.
• Click the appropriate product (for example Microsoft 70-270).
• Now download the product.

There has been an update but when I download I still got the old version. What should I do?
The old version is probably cached at your computer. You could try to restart Internet Explorer, restart the computer or clear the local web cache. To clear the local web cache open Internet Explorer, choose Tools menu then Internet Options command, and finally click the "Delete files" button.

Value Packs

Which types of bundles do TestKing offer?
TestKing has four different types of bundles:

• Ordinary bundles containing around 4 to 12 products. (Examples are: CompTIA A+, MCSA 2003, MCSE 2003, MCDBA, MCSD .NET, CCNA, CCNP)
• The buy 5 and get one for free bundle.
• Special customized bundles.
• If you intend to make a larger purchase and it does not fit the Ordinary bundles, contact sales@testking.com. They will give you a special price for the purchase.

Where can I find the ordinary bundles?
From the Products page find the correct vendor, such as Microsoft or Cisco, then scroll down to the last products. The bundles are listed last.

How do I use the buy 5 and get one for free bundle?

1. Buy at least 5 products in a single purchase.
2. Mail receipt of the purchase, your E-mail / Login, and select the free exam to support@testking.com
3. The free exam should have a value not higher than the average price of the 5 purchased products.
4. Support will add the free exam to your account and notify that it is available for download.

Samples

Your products sound interesting, but I'd like to try before I buy. Do you have any demos?
Yes we do. On our Samples page you will find examples of our Practice exams. There are samples of the most popular exams we provide. Further requests for samples can be provided. Please, e-mail feedback@testking.com and state which sample you would like to receive.

I want a sample of another TestKing product. Is this possible?
Yes, we can provide samples of all our products. Just mail your sample request to feedback@testking.com and you will receive any sample you want promptly.

Quality

What is the quality of the TestKing products?
Our goal is the have at least 95% exam coverage and at least 95% accuracy.

How is the quality of the TestKing products achieved?
TestKing experts, including MCSEs, MCDBAs, MCTs, CCNPs, CCIEs, etc. verify the answers and provide explanations. Especially providing explanations increases the accuracy of the answers. We also receive customer feedback on our products. So, we constantly have to review our products. This guarantees a high quality.

I think I have found an incorrect answer in one of your products/I don't understand one of questions/One of the questions seems incorrect. What should I do?
Feedback on specific questions should be send to feedback@testking.com. You should state:
