Exam HH0-120: Hitachi Data Systems Storage Foundations - Modular

In order for you to work on a Hitachi data system modular product, you must be able to validate you know how to use and operate the system. Validation can only be achieved by means of certification, which is achieved by passing HH0-120: Hitachi Data Systems Storage Foundations - Modular exam.

The exam is broken down to cover nine topics:

In the Storage Strategy section you must be able to describe the benefits of Services Optimized Storage Solutions (SOSS) and how Hitachi modular storage products and solutions can be used to solve most business-related problems. In the Enterprise Storage Hardware section you will describe the essential components and features of the Hitachi Modular storage system. In the Business Continuity Software section you will describe what the Hitachi TrueCopy Remote Replication, ShadowImage In-System Replication software, Hitachi Copy-On-Write Snapshot software, Hitachi Universal Replicator software, and Hitachi Business Continuity Manager software is all about. In the Storage Management software section you will describe the software features and functions of the Hitachi Device Manager, Hitachi Storage Services Manager, Hitachi Tuning Manager, and the Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager. In the Storage Virtualization section you will need to demonstrate how Modular storage can be leveraged as a part of a business external storage solution, as well as how the Cache Partition Manager enables the Modular storage system. In the Archiving, Backup and Restore section you will describe how to use the Hitachi Content Archive Platform (HCAP) and the Hitachi Data Protection Suite. In the NAS section, you will demonstrate your understanding of NAS. In the Performance section you will demonstrate your understanding of basic performance functions. In the Maintenance section you will describe functions of the HiTrack system and how it works.
 
The test has about 55 questions and takes roughly 60 minutes to complete. You would need a score of 65% to pass and get your certification.
