Exam A00-206: SAS Warehouse Technology

If you work as an IT person for a corporation or large business, and you have experience with designing, managing, and deploying a data warehouse, using SAS technologies, including the ability to set up a warehouse environment, build the warehouse, and deploy as well as maintain the warehouse; you would do well to get certified. This way you will be qualified to work on such a system. To get certified, you will have to pass the A00-206: SAS Warehouse Technology exam.
By taking and passing the A00-206 exam, you provide proof that you have experience to perform standard transformations which will include resolving data quality issues using the SAS Data Quality Solution. You also must prove you know how to extract and load data using the SAS/ACCESS interfaces, SAS Data Surveyors, and other SAS technologies.

To pass this exam you not only have to prove you can design, manage, and deploy a data warehouse; you also must have very strong knowledge of data management issues when they relate to cleansing, transformations, and file structures. You also should be aware of any and all data modeling techniques. You need to show you know how to prepare the infrastructure for the ETL processes that will be able to support the construction and management of the warehouse by using the SAS Management Console. You must also configure, administer, and use the integrated change management system so many user accounts can be developed at once. You will also have to define the source metadata structures, import and integrate metadata, define the target metadata structures, define the data extract, transform, and load processes, and cleanse data by checking for inconsistent, erroneous, or duplicate data in order to build a data warehouse.
