The BEA Certified Developer Certification has five designations. Only one designation is required to receive the BEA Certified Developer Certification; however, more than one is permitted.
BEA Certified Developer: BEA WebLogic Portal 9/10
A developer who can build interactive Web sites using BEA technologies. Portal developers are capable of building a variety of portlets, look-and feel-templates, and GroupSpace communities. The Weblogic Portal Developer designation proves the expertise of one's ability to interact with content management systems, create information portals, process portals and federated portals using Web Services for Remote Portlet (WSRP) standard, work with Web design theories including Model-View-Controller (MVC) and implement complex Web interfaces.
BEA Certified Developer: BEA WebLogic Server 9
A developer who can build custom solutions using BEA WebLogic Server 9 to implement scalable Web applications that interact with databases, legacy systems and packaged applications. BEA WebLogic Sever 9 developers are expected to have sophisticated knowledge of application servers with J2EE programming, developing web services, using integrated development environments like Eclipse and BEA WebLogic Workshop, object-relational concepts, application infrastructure clustering and deployment, Web design theories including model-view-controller, creating and consuming reusable logic, and designing and implementing complex Web interfaces.
BEA Certified Developer: Build Solutions for BEA WebLogic 8.1
A developer who can build custom solutions using the BEA WebLogic Platform to implement scalable Web applications that interact with databases, legacy systems and packaged applications. Build Solution developers are expected to have sophisticated knowledge of application servers with J2EE programming, object-relational concepts, application infrastructure clustering and deployment, Web design theories including MVC, creating and consuming reusable logic, and designing and implementing complex Web interfaces.
BEA Certified Developer: Portal Solutions for BEA WebLogic 8.1
A developer who can build interactive Web sites using BEA technologies. Portal developers are capable of building a variety of portlets, creating sophisticated personalization patterns, creating integrated user profiles, and developing and managing user campaigns. The Portal Solution designation proves the expertise of one's ability to interact with content management systems, create information portals and process portals, consume Web services within a portal, connect to industry data sources and feeds, work with Web design theories including MVC and implement complex Web interfaces.
BEA Certified Developer: Integration Solutions for BEA WebLogic 8.1
A developer who can weave complex integrations from a variety of sources using BEA technologies. Integration Solution developers are proficient in creating integrations between systems, aggregating multiple data sources into XML repositories, accessing and manipulating legacy systems, using messaging systems, accessing and leveraging packaged applications and interweaving mainframe systems. They are also capable of creating long-lived businesses, setting up B2B networks, creating secure and transactional Web services, and managing XML data repositories.
