Exam 510-022: Sybase Certified Adaptive Server Administrator Professional
Large to medium-sized corporations have one to many networks. With these networks, they have one or more servers that tie together to allow users to run applications on their local workstations. These servers require software to run to enable the applications to work. One such server software that many corporations use is the Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.0 by Sybase. In order for a technician to handle such software at a professional level is to be certified. To be certified they need to pass 510-022: Sybase Certified Adaptive Server Administrator Professional exam.
The exam itself has 8 sections. Each section along with the percentage of questions asked per section is indicated below:
Section 1 - DBCC for Checking Consistency - 6 questions - 10%
Section 2 - Data Cache Configuration and Tuning - 6 questions - 10%
Section 3 - Data Page Management and Allocation - 15 questions - 25%
Section 4 - Optimizer Statistics - 5 questions - 8%
Section 5 - Troubleshooting Transaction Logs and Recovery - 10 questions - 17%
Section 6 - Index Management - 6 questions - 10%
Section 7 - Non-master and Master Device Failures - 6 questions - 10%
Section 8 - ASE 12.5.1 and 12.5.2 New Advanced Admin Features - 6 questions - 10%
The 510-022 exam consists of 60 questions and takes about 90 minutes to complete. You need a score of 65% to pass.
In order to take the exam you must have worked with Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5 for at least a year, and know about advanced administration and troubleshooting for ASE, troubleshooting ASE data structures, and configuring ASE. By taking the 510-022: Sybase Certified Adaptive Server Administrator Professional exam from TestKing, you would have proved to meet all eligibility requirements and will have qualified to work on such server software.
