Exam 1z0-221: Oracle Inventory Management 11i Fundamentals
If you have a large organization and have a warehouse or manufacturing facility and you keep inventory, obviously you have an inventory management system in place. This inventory management system (IMS) is used to keep track of what goes out and what comes in. Of all programs available in the market, the best program that corporations rely on is Oracle’s Inventory Management system. This inventory management program is the best when it comes to dealing with inventory. As with all programs, there usually are fundamentals that are standard with the program, and that must be learned first. In the case of the stockman, warehouse manager, or inventory manager, if he uses Oracle’s inventory management system, he should become certified. By being certified, he will have gained enough knowledge about the program to use it effectively. This way he’ll be able to keep track of inventory much better.
In order to get certified, if your role is as an inventory or warehouse manager, you will need to show that you know the inventory process and how it works. You will need to describe the various inventory structures used, include FIFO (first in first out), or LIFO (last in first out). You will need to describe how to define and maintain items, how to handle inventory controls, how to define, deal with, and set up transactions. You will need to describe as well as perform an issue and transfer of materials. And of course you will have to explain how to replenish inventory. The test has about 75 questions and takes roughly 90 minutes to complete. You would need a score of 64% to pass and get your certification.
